Ford Motor Company’s Chief Futurist, Jennifer Brace, shares her perspective on the biggest changes and challenges in transportation, hinting that the future of mobility is not as simple as we think.
Brace describes the complex path ahead, touching on key issues like climate impact, consumer choice and industry resilience.
Whilst explaining her role as a “Futurist”, Brace emphasises the need to plan for multiple future scenarios.
“I consider multiple versions of the future and help teams evaluate whether their strategies are resilient… If the answer is no, we figure out how to make them more robust… Climate change affects everything: supply chains, insurance, where people can live, and how they might need to move, sometimes on short notice,” said Brace.
